Terms of Use

These terms are the rules for playing Kaivo. By using the game you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not play. The game is made by Yehonatan Anabi ("we"). Apple's standard terms for apps from the App Store also apply to you.

1. Playing

  • Kaivo is a card game for entertainment. You can play against bots, with friends, and with other players.
  • If you are under the age at which you may agree to terms where you live, ask a parent or guardian first.
  • We may change, pause or end the game or any feature at any time.

2. Chips are not money

  • Chips are a virtual currency that exists only inside Kaivo. They have no cash value.
  • You cannot cash chips out, exchange them for money, prizes or anything of value, give them to another player, or sell or buy them outside the game. Any attempt to do so is against these terms.
  • Gifts are decorations on the table. They have no value, the person who receives one gets nothing from it, and they cannot be resold or exchanged.
  • We may correct chip balances after a bug or after cheating, and we may remove chips obtained unfairly.

3. Fair play and behaviour

Do not:

  • cheat, use bots or scripts, exploit bugs, or tamper with the game or our servers;
  • choose a name that is offensive, hateful, sexual, or that impersonates someone, or that shows personal details;
  • harass other players, including by sending gifts again and again after they asked you to stop;
  • try to buy, sell, trade or share accounts or chips.

You can block a player and report a name or behaviour from the gift window. We may rename a player, remove gifts or chips, limit features, or end an account that breaks these terms. We do not review every report as soon as it arrives.

4. Your player and your name

The game creates a guest player for you. It is tied to the device you use. If you delete the game or change phones, you may lose your player and its chips. You are responsible for what you do with your player.

5. Our rights

The game, its name, art, cards, sounds and code belong to us or to the people who license them to us. You may play the game, but you may not copy it, sell it or use our name or art to promote something else without our written permission.

6. No guarantees

We try to keep Kaivo running, but it is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be free of errors, always available, or that your player, chips or results will be kept. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using the game.

7. Ending

You can stop playing at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect other players.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will change the date above. If you keep playing after a change, you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the developer is based (to be named before launch).
