Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This policy explains what the Kaivo game ("Kaivo", "we") collects when you play and what we do with it. Kaivo is made by Yehonatan Anabi, an individual developer. Write to us at [email protected].
The short version
- You do not sign up. The game creates a guest player.
- We keep a random player ID, the name you choose, your chip balance and your game results on our server.
- There are no ads, no advertising ID, no tracking across other apps or sites, and no analytics tools in this version.
- There is no chat, no voice, no camera and no location access.
- Do not use your real name or personal details as your player name. Other players can see it.
What we collect
| What | Why | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| A random guest player ID and a secret token (we store only a hash of the token) | To recognise your device so your name and chips are still there next time | Created when you first open online play |
| Your player name | To show you to the other players at your table | You type it (or we give you a random one) |
| Chip balance and a log of chip changes (daily chips, gifts you send) | To run the game economy and prevent cheating | The game |
| Match records: who sat at the table, scores, the results, and the secret numbers used to shuffle each round | To run the game, to let players verify the shuffle was fair, and to investigate cheating | The game |
| Gifts you send and receive, your gift settings, players you block, and reports you make or that are made about you | To show gifts, to respect your choices, and to keep the game safe | You, other players |
| Technical data such as your IP address and when you connect | To keep the service secure, stop abuse and fix problems | Your device, automatically |
Offline games against bots on your phone stay on your phone.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your real name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or location. We do not use advertising or analytics services in this version.
Who can see what
- Other players at your table see your player name, your seat, your moves, and the gifts you send.
- Nobody sees your guest ID or token.
- We use a hosting provider to run our server and database: our hosting provider (to be named before launch). They process data for us and may not use it for their own purposes.
- We do not sell your data. We may share information if the law requires it or to protect people from harm.
Children
We treat players of unknown age as young players. We keep to a minimum the data we collect, there is no chat, and names are filtered for obviously offensive words. If you are a parent and want us to remove your child's data, write to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your guest player and chip balance while the account is in use. Match records are kept as long as we need them for the fairness check and for handling abuse reports. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below). We will set and publish exact retention periods before the launch.
Your choices and rights
You can change your player name, switch off gifts from other players, and block players inside the game. Write to [email protected] to ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. Depending on where you live, the law may give you more rights, and we will respect them.
Security
Connections to our server are encrypted. Tokens are stored as hashes. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at once if you find a problem.
Purchases
This version has no purchases. If we add them, payments are handled by Apple or Google. We receive a transaction identifier from the store so we can add the chips you bought. We never see your card details.
Changes
We will post changes here and change the date at the top. If a change matters a lot, we will also tell you in the game.
